CBSE Board Papers 2026 (Class 10 & Class 12): How to Use Them for Your Preparation

21 October 2026 ยท 5 min read

The most recent board paper is the best guide to the next one. It shows the current pattern: how many competency-based questions, how the case studies are framed, where the internal choices sit, and how the marks are spread across sections. That is why the 2026 papers are now on TestSaathi, alongside the earlier years.

Which 2026 papers are available

  • Class 10: Mathematics Standard, Mathematics Basic, Science, Social Science and English
  • Class 12: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology

Each paper is available two ways: question by question in exam mode, with a timer and instant scoring, and as the original question paper PDF, so you can see the layout exactly as it appeared in the exam hall.

How to use a fresh board paper

  • Attempt it once under a real clock, without notes. Your first score is the honest one.
  • Mark every question you lost marks on, and note the chapter it came from. That list is your revision plan.
  • Read the solution for each lost question, then practise that chapter before attempting the next paper.
  • Keep the 2026 paper for the end of a revision cycle, as a final check, rather than using it on day one.

NCERT exercises come first

Board questions are built on NCERT. For Class 12, the end-of-chapter NCERT exercise questions for Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology are in the app with answers and step-by-step solutions, and the NCERT textbooks can be read chapter by chapter inside TestSaathi. Finish the exercises of a chapter before moving to its previous-year questions.

Practise the full paper structure

The Board Pattern exam builds a complete paper that follows the CBSE blueprint section by section โ€” Sections A to E, the same marks and the same duration as the board paper. Practising the full structure trains time management: knowing when to move on from a 5-mark question is worth as much as knowing the answer.
